Description: BLachners drawing but with English labels It is the first part of a well known experiment to demonstrate the reversibility of the reaction of water with anhydrous copper sulfate Adding water in this part converts the white anhdrous copper sulfate to blue hydrated copper sulfate with the liberation of some heat which can be demonstrated with an increase in temperature measured with the thermometer
